BEYOND THE DASHBOARD
Learning Tableau Is Only the Beginning
Building a dashboard is one skill. Delivering it to an entire business is another.
|
|
If you’re learning Tableau as a student, your experience probably looks something like this:
1. Download some data
2. Open Tableau Desktop
3. Build a dashboard
4. Save the workbook
5. Done!
|
That’s a great way to learn Tableau. But it’s not how modern Business Intelligence works inside a company.
|
|
☁️ THE OTHER HALF OF TABLEAU
Tableau Desktop Is Only Half the Story
Imagine joining a company with hundreds—or thousands—of employees.
You can’t email everyone a Tableau workbook every Monday and hope nobody accidentally opens Final_Report_V7_REALLY_FINAL.twbx.
The business needs one trusted place where people can:
| ✓ |
Access dashboards and trusted data |
| ✓ |
Refresh information automatically |
| ✓ |
Manage users and permissions |
| ✓ |
Share insights across teams |
|
Tableau Desktop is the workshop where you build. Tableau Cloud is the showroom where everyone gets to use it.

Become Part of the Complete BI Environment
Tableau Desktop teaches you how to build.
Tableau Cloud teaches you how organisations deliver, govern and share analytics.
